At the April 8 reception starting at 6:30, the Princeton Public Library will auction off some of the Little Free Libraries that will be on display that week. The bidding begins April 4 and ends at the close of the reception April 8. Bids must start with the minimum amount listed on each silent auction form, and be offered in $5 increments. If the “Buy Now” price is not met by the close of the auction, the highest bid will win.
The winning bidder becomes the owner and is responsible for installing and registering the LFL with the Little Free Library Organization. Registration fee is $42. In some cases, fees and official signage have already been paid for. Owners are responsible for placement of the LFL, and for assigning or acting as a steward to maintain it. Purchased LFLS must remain in the library until the end of the showcase April 23.
Payment for purchases can be made in full during the April 8 reception, or be invoiced by the library. All sales are final and there will be no refunds of exchanges unless otherwise noted. All items are sold as is.
If the owner would like to donate their LFL back to the Princeton Public Library, the library will install and register, in addition to finding a steward. All LFLs owned by the library will be placed within the city of Princeton.
The Little Free Library program has received support from Home Depot, the Princeton Public School Foundation, and Friends of the Library.
