April 14 at 6:30 at the Princeton Public Library, Lisa Furleigh from Quilting in the Valley will teach English Paper Piecing, a hand quilting technique using fabric wrapped around paper patterns. The project for the evening is a summer themed ornament using jewel-shaped paper pieces and patriotic fabrics.
Preregistration is required and participants must purchase a $6 kit which contains a needle, paper pieces, pre-cut fabric, beads and beading cord, and a rat tail with which to hang the ornament. Bring your own scissors, light weight thread in navy, white or off white, and fabric glue pen. The library will have some of these materials on hand if needed.
Preregister by calling the library at 815-875-1331 or sign the registration form at the library circulation desk.
