In recognition of Midland States Bank’s sponsorship of the Princeton Public Library Cafe, the bank donated the book Boomtown USA: The 7 ½ Keys to Big Success in Small Towns to the library. The book is written by Jack Schultz, Chairman of the Board of Midland States Bank, and explores the questions of “What separates the thriving towns from the struggling ones? Do the people within a prosperous town approach their lives differently than those in a struggling town? Can communities that are struggling rebound? If so, how?”
Schultz is the founder and CEO of Agracel, Inc., an industrial development firm majoring in rural America, and is a top economic development authority on small towns just like those in Monroe County. His book and a presentation by the same name have inspired many communities to find their own vision.
Throughout May Midland States Bank has provided a variety of useful promotional items to library cafe patrons and prizes for a weekly drawing.
