Kit Ashton Musical Guest May 24

Can music save endangered languages (and why should we care anyway)? If you are interested in finding out, join Kit Ashton here Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. Ashton will sing songs and discuss the music of endangered languages from around the world.

Kit Ashton is a British musician from the Channel Island of Jersey. He is currently a PhD candidate researching the links between music, language, and cultural identity, with a focus on the endangered language of Jersey Norman French known as Jèrriais.

Kit Ashton will also be a special musical guest at the Tuesday morning storytime Tuesday May 29 at 10:30 a.m.
