Princeton Public Library’s Ron McCutchan will present a “Textured Halloween Crafts” program Thursday, Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Matson Meeting Room at the library. He will demonstrate how to use decoupage/Mod-Podge to transform book covers and then participants will be given an opportunity to create fun Halloween pins and wizard wands that they can take home.
These crafts involve a hot glue gun, acrylic paints, and Mod-Podge, and are intended for ages 10 to adult. All materials will be supplied, but if participants are able to bring their own hot glue gun, that would be helpful.
In addition, from Friday, Oct. 12 through Friday, Oct. 26, an adult Makers Table will be available in the library for anyone wanting to create their own spooky textured books, pins, and wizard wands. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult when using the makers table. Discarded Reader’s Digest condensed books will be available for covering, but participants are also welcome to bring their own sketchbook, notebook, or box to decorate.
