Let’s Explore Savannah, Jekyll Island and Beaufort, Oct. 30

This program is presented by Experience Travel of Princeton and Maureen Morris.  It will be held at the Princeton Public Library on Wednesday, October 30th at 6:30 p.m.

First, we will travel back in time to the beautifully preserved city of Beaufort, South Carolina, a pre-Civil War city with narrow oak-lined streets and charming homes of wealthy cotton growers.  Savannah, Georgia, is known as America’s first planned city.  Made famous most recently by the novel and film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, this historic city features Battery Park, fountains, tree-lined streets, and tons of charm.  Lastly we will visit the island playground of the rich and famous, Jekyll Island, where the winter homes of the Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, and Morgan families will astonish you.

Pecan tarts and coffee will be served to celebrate this song of the south journey.  This program is free and all are welcome to attend.
