Princeton Public Library is Opening to Pick up, June 1

The Princeton Public Library will be fulfilling book and DVD orders beginning Monday June 1, 2020. Patrons will be able to place their orders by phone (815) 875-1331, e-mail (help@princetonpl.org), or by signing into their accounts remotely through the Princeton Public Library Website (www.princetonpl.org). We will only be able to fulfill orders inhouse for our own cardholders as access to other library’s patrons and materials remains unavailable.

Once we assemble requests, we will check out the items for the patron and notify them when their order is complete. Staff will schedule a time with the patron to pick up their bag of materials in to the foyer of the library. These bags will be alphabetically organized by the patron’s last name and first initial.

PICK UP HOURS:
Monday, Noon to 4pm
Tuesday, 10 am to 2 pm
Wednesday, 3 pm to 7 pm
Thursday, 10 am to 2 pm
Friday, Noon to 4 pm
Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm

Patrons will not be allowed further access in to the library at this time. Public restrooms will also be unavailable. In addition, everyone entering the building will be asked to wear face masks and maintain social distancing standards. Appropriate signage will remind everyone of current safety protocols.  We hope to offer more services in July if the number of Covid-19 cases continue to decline according to the governor’s orders. The next step will allow the public into the library with social distancing and face masks. The Princeton Public Library board continues to prioritize the safety of the staff and the community above all other concerns.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we progress one step closer to fully re-opening.
