REVISED QUARANTINE POLICY ON MATERIALS The Princeton Public Library will continue to receive and place hold requests on materials from other libraries as they have since June. However, due to recent partner-sponsored Covid-19 testing results conducted by Battle Laboratories and the increase in cases in Illinois, the quarantine time for these materials has changed from three days to seven days as of August 31. This does not affect the ability to place holds or what materials are available through holds—it simply means a longer wait for interlibrary materials from other libraries (now 7 days), and returned materials will remain on a patron’s account longer, as we do not check in items until the end of the quarantine period. The Princeton Public Library board appreciates the community’s patience and understanding during this difficult time and will continue to waive all fines through September.

Study rooms, and the Matson Meeting Room will remain closed. The Library Café is open during library hours for carryout beverages only. PLEASE WEAR A FACE MASK WHEN ENTERING THE LIBRARY AND CAFÉ. Starting 7/6/20 patrons will be able to schedule a time for other services. These services include printing, copying, and faxing. Similar to the book and DVD orders, patrons will be able to schedule services. Please telephone or e-mail ahead to arrange for these. Unfortunately, our laminator is currently out of service–nearest source for lamination is Staples in Peru, (815) 224-8650.
Seven of our public computers will be available for 45 minute sessions, one of which will be dedicated to those in need of completing government documents such as taxes, census, employment, social, financial or health related forms. In order to use this more private PC, let the library staff know when placing the reservation. We also have laptop computers that can be checked out for in-house use. In addition, the library will continue to offer free wi-fi throughout the building and parking area.
HOW TO ORDER LIBRARY ITEMS Patrons may place their orders by phone (815) 875-1331, by e-mail (email@example.com), or by signing into their accounts remotely through the Princeton Public Library Website (www.princetonpl.org).
