Monday Movie NIghts at the Princeton Public Library

With evening library hours (til 8 pm) beginning in August, our Monday movie nights are back (starting at 5:30 pm).

August 2, 5:30 pm – A film classic – a grumpy riverboat captain is persuaded by a strait-laced missionary to attack an enemy warship for the British war effort during WWII.

August 9, 5:30 pm – Two Chicago musicians who witness the Valentine’s Day massacre join an all-girl band (as women) for an out-of-town gig in Florida in order to get away from the gangsters responsible. Mayhem ensues when romance AND the gangsters arrive at the Florida resort!

August 16, 5:30 pm – An American writer vacationing in Paris with his fiancee, finds his midnight walks take him into the 1920s, where he meets up with the greats of art and literature who lived in Jazz Age Paris. But the more time Gil spends with these cultural heroes of the past, the more dissatisfied he becomes with the present.

August 23, 5:30 pm – A teenaged girl seeks to avenge her father’s murder, and recruits a tough old marshal with a reputation for getting the job done to track the killer into Indian Territory. They are joined by a young Texas Ranger looking to capture the same man for a different murder, in hopes of collecting a substantial reward. The three clash on their quest of bringing to justice the same man.

August 30, 5:30 pm – A teen in 1980 is transported to 1955 in a DeLorean converted into a time machine by his crackpot scientist friend. But his misadventures with his teenaged parents result in a changed timeline, so he must return to the past to ensure his parents fall in love in order to restore his own future.
