Eco-Friendly
The Princeton Library Café is in the process of making changes designed to be more environmentally friendly. Over half of The Café’s products has been switched to being compostable!
Composting is beneficial to our environment because it breaks down food waste and other natural products faster than it would in a landfill. The Café staff encourages you to learn about how to create a composting bin of your own and join them in the fight to keep our planet healthy.
History
The lobby of the Princeton Public Library became an Internet cafe/coffee bar on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Originally named Latté Da!, the cafe is now The Library Cafe at Princeton Public Library, and it’s a great place to relax with a good book selection, study, play a quiet game, or have a conversation with friends.

On the menu are our signature coffees, espresso specialty drinks, teas and our ice blended Coffee Chillers. The Library Cafe also treats its customers to seasonal beverages which include icy lemon smoothies, springtime cupcake drinks, and various holiday options.
Other tasty treats include delicious fresh-baked cookies and sweets. Teas are supplied by Leaves ‘n Beans Coffee in Peoria Heights. Our coffee is roasted locally by Starved Rock Coffee Company. We use French Canyon, a dark roast using Arabica beans with a heavy body, intense flavor, and smoky notes of dark chocolate and toffee, as our espresso blend, and as our house coffee, we use a breakfast blend, Trailblazer, a light/medium roast of Arabica beans with notes of chocolate, honey & citrus.
Our coffees have a rich smooth flavor and are fantastic on their own or as part of one of our amazing signature espresso drinks. Fans of The Library Cafe @ PPL can socialize in the library or online with Facebook.
