Summer Reading 2018!

June 11 through July 28

Terri Murphy Banner

Children from Preschool – Grade 8 may register beginning June 11, 2018.

Special kick-off event on Monday, June 11 at 2:30 pm: “Exploring New Worlds” In this 45-minute show for kids, artist Dan Laib uses magic, storytelling, and art from around the world to get children interested in both fiction and non-fiction reading. They’ll be amazed by the places that reading will take them!

Research suggests families should aim for 15-20 minutes of reading a day to help prevent the “summer slide,” where reading skills are lost and kids are less prepared to return to school in the fall.
