Book Donations Are ON HOLD UNTIL APRIL 1 (Due to March Sale)!

Small amounts of books may be left in the Friends donation bin in the Café Lobby. If you have several boxes, please call the library (815) 875-1331, ext. 200, and leave your information. Someone from the Friends group will contact you to schedule an appointment for you to drop off your donation.

Items that are NOT accepted for
the Friends of the Library Sales

No magazines
No Reader’s Digest Condensed Books
No encyclopedias (World Book, Compton’s, Childcraft)
No special interest book sets (e.g., Time-Life history, handyman, how-to, or health sets)
No textbooks (at any school level, Jr. High, High School, or College, including nursing)
No discarded books from other libraries
Books that are damp, musty or moldy, or without covers are considered unacceptable. Old (vintage) books must be in at least Fair condition.
No VHS movies
No audio cassettes
