Announcing a new streaming service available with your PPL library card!

Princeton Public Library has entered into a streaming agreement with Kanopy, a digital service offering thousands of award-winning films, documentaries, and educational videos. Cardholders can now enjoy free access to Kanopy’s rich collection on any device, anytime, anywhere.

  • Kanopy: Instantly stream movies 24/7 from Kanopy’s collection of over 31,000 popular videos, TV series, independent films, documentaries and more! Featuring titles from Warner Bros., MGM, BBC, Paramount Pictures, A24, The History Channel, A&E, The Criterion Collection, Kino Lorber, The Great Courses, among others, this vast and diverse collection has something for everyone. All you need is a library card to create an account and enjoy Kanopy! You will need both your library card bar code number and your PIN. Conveniently access using the Kanopy app on your Smart TV or watch on your desktop (https://princetonlibraryil.kanopy.com/).
    Patrons are to use 25 tickets per month (films average 2 tickets per film; series are 2 to 5 tickets per season). Tickets cannot be rolled over, but resets to 25 on the first of each month.
  • Kanopy Kids: Kanopy Kids promotes empathy, critical thinking, and helps build STEM skills. Enjoy Kanopy’s carefully curated titles from Weston Woods, Sesame Street, Jim Henson Productions, Highlights for Children, Signed Stories, and more! You may set Parental Controls so your children only see videos in the Kanopy Kids section on Kanopy. NOTE: Programs in Kanopy Kids do not count toward a patron’s 25 ticket total.
