Princeton Public Library is excited to announce an event this coming January at the Starved Rock Lodge. The library is offering tickets for Friday January 9, 2026, from 11 AM – 2:30 PM for a Starved Rock Bald Eagle Trolley Tour. These tickets will be $25 each (check payable to Princeton Public Library) for the library’s patrons (normally, these tickets are $40) and will include a scenic tour of Starved Rock on the historic trolley with lunch off the trolley menu provided at the lodge. This event will be at Starved Rock Lodge, so patrons must secure their own transportation there. Those who are interested should either email help@princetonpl.org or call at (815) 875-1331 for details.​

Basic info:
Lunch will be provided first thing when you arrive–selections will be from the trolley menu at the lodge. The lodge can accommodate most dietary restrictions; please let Princeton Public Library know about any requests or concerns when you purchase your ticket and we will relay that to Starved Rock Lodge.
Registration: 28 seats are available. Should those sell out, we will have a waitlist.
Will this be inside?
The trolley goes outside, and while it is mostly air-tight, it can still get chilly. Patrons are advised to wear layers.
