In honor of the Illinois Bicentennial, singer/songwriter Barry Cloyd will present a musical tribute to the birth of our state on Tuesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library. His songs, performed on guitar, banjo, Dobro, and other string instruments, will include stories from: Native Americans, European Explorers, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, Abe Lincoln, the Great Chicago Fire, and many more.
Barry Cloyd is continually researching and developing one-man presentations which focus on niches and historical time-periods, both obscure and well-known. These historical/educational/musical presentations and programs are a source of joy and have taken on increasing importance in his entire catalog of performance.
This event is free of charge and all are welcome to attend.
