This holiday season the Princeton Public Library will be collecting money for the Bureau County Food Pantry. The library board of Trustees and staff want to contribute to the community during the holidays and help relieve the burden of those struggling to feed their families. According to President Carolyn Schaefer, “It is wonderful that the city of Princeton has collections for warm winter clothing and toys from Santa Claus. We just want to remind people of the ongoing issue of providing food for the hungry. This is especially important since the schools will be closed for Christmas break.” The library will donate the money to the food bank on Thursday, December 16th to be sure to contribute to a joyous holiday for everyone.
