Peter Fletcher

Tuesday, Nov 1, 5:30–7:30 pm Peter Fletcher, Classical Guitar: Music of Four Centuries Peter Fletcher is an American classical guitarist based in Detroit and New York City. He performs over 80 concerts a year, and has performed at Princeton Public Library on a number of occasions.  Peter will play music from the Baroque Period through the 20th century including works by Santiago de Murcia, Domenico Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, Mauro Giuliani, Nicolò Paganini, Manuel Ponce, Edvard Grieg, Alexander Tansman, Francisco Tárrega, and Isaac Albeniz. This concert is FREE and all are welcome to attend.

Wednesday, Nov 2, 5:30–7:30 pm Chicks with Sticks Experienced and novice knitters and crocheters are welcome to join in this social crafting time.

Thursday, Nov 3, 5:30–7:30 pm Read Em and Weed Gardening Group All are welcome; whether you like house plants, grow food, or just enjoy flowers…we have room for you.

Tuesday, Nov 8 PPL “Take and Make”—DIY Pumpkin CandleThese candles are a simple way to add another level of enjoyment to the autumn season or decorate your Thanksgiving table. The kit includes a pumpkin, soy wax flakes, a wick, cinnamon, a skewer, and a tin can for melting wax. You will need a double boiler, a knife, scissors, plastic wrap, and a spoon. The candle kits will be available for pick up on Tuesday, Nov. 8, while supplies last.

Thursday, Nov 10, 6:30 pm Page Turners Book Club The club’s November selection will be The Girl in His Shadow by Audrey Blake. “A suspenseful story of a courageous young woman determined to become a surgeon in repressive Victorian England. Patrons should call the library to reserve a copy of the book.  Bring a book title and author that you would recommend to the group for future monthly selections.  The Page Turners Book Club is open to all library card holders looking for their next great read!

Hailed by The New York Times as “a relentlessly curious and chipper tour guide to the underworld,” she’ll discuss reform of Western funeral industry practices and much more with Mark Bazer (The Interview Show).
