Get a peek intot he world of dinosaur science and paleontology as you see fossils from species like Triceratops and T-Rex, whil learning about what it’s like to go on a paleontological dig.
Tuesday, July 14, 6 pm Family Stories: Past, Present, & Future by Jeanne & Kea Roppolo Stories from our ancestral lineage open a richer, fuller understanding of who you are as a family. Learn how to uncover these forgotten stories while learning to write your own legacy. Join Grandma Jeanne and granddaughter Kea, a certified genealogist, as you begin your special journey in this mini workshop.

Thursday, July 16, 6:30–7:30 pm Summer Reading: Crafty Activities for Elementary and Junior High: Strata Jars The history of life on earth can be seen in the layers of rock and sediment that lie beneath us (sometimes revealed by excavation or erosion, as at Starved Rock). To demonstrate this, we’ll make our own strata by layering colored sand, gravel, and smallartifacts in clear jars.

We will show you the ins and outs of character creation, as well as the basics of combat and party strategy. This is the perfect way to get started with tabletop roleplaying games, as well as a great way to join our twice monthly youth D&D sessions here at the library.
