On Tuesday, October 6, at 6 pm, Princeton Public Library welcomes back classical guitarist Peter Fletcher. Peter offers an audience friendly, solo recital including repertoire that runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century. His performance here at the library will include early works by Caspar Sans and J. S. Bach, folk songs from the Shaker tradition and from Catalonia, as well as compositions by Francisco Tárrega, Isaac Albeniz, and Nikita Koshkin. Peter divides his time between Detroit, where he recently purchased a vintage home in the historic North Rosedale Park neighborhood, and New York City.

On Wednesday, October 14, at 6 pm, Barry Cloyd presents “We the People: Protest Songs and Stories Through the Ages.” Barry is a Midwestern based, full-time touring singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and educator who has spent a lifetime creating a performance style that weaves the genres of Celtic, Blues, Folk and Roots music into a unique blend all his own. This new program features the songs & stories of the people who have faced a fight against inhumanity, unfair discrimination, slavery, and abuses by royalty, despots and racism. Barry will relay tales and songs of people like Stephen Foster, Pete Seeger, the English people, Bob Dylan, Sam Cooke, the Irish, Billie Holiday & others, brought to life by Barry with passion, his voice and various instruments.
